But I think this is a spectacular plant form, but I have no idea what it is, so I thought I'd put it in that way. And as a transition away from Dragonfly of the Day, because I haven't seen any new species...

Photo of the day will not be a daily theme or anything... I'm pretty sure that's been done before. By a lot of folks. But I think this is a spectacular plant form, but I have no idea what it is, so I thought I'd put it in that way. And as a transition away from Dragonfly of the Day, because I haven't seen any new species...

Interesting. It looks like an inflorescence that's lost its flowers, but not made seeds. What does the rest of the plant look like?
ReplyDeleteI actually took a picture of the rest of the plant... but I deleted it because it was a bad photo -- which I later regretted because it still could have been informational. And I took it at the Chicago Botanic Gardens, so the plant probably had a label if I'd looked, but that also means it could be from any part of the world, cultivated there by their world class horticulturists...
