Silver maple flowers are opening up, but they start at the top of the tree and work down, so I couldn't find one low enough to get a picture close-up. 
This I thought was interesting. Ice is about 50% off right now, but this slab seems to have drifted away from the edge (rather than melting) because the corners are so perfect -- exactly the shape of the stone edge. Kind of cool. I don't know what the official records showed, but I had a thermometer out today and it showed the temperature at 70 degrees in the shade... so St. Paddy's day was our first 70 degree day! (Snow predicted over the weekend, so...)
